My name is [ɹəˈbɛkə  ləˈtʰɝnɨs] but I often go by Becky [ˈbɛki].

I’m a 5th-year PhD candidate (ABD!) in the Linguistics Department at New York University. I conduct research on speech perception and processing, with a particular focus on non-native speech communication and perceptual adaptation to different accents. When I’m not reading or writing about speech, I make things in a variety of media and travel as often as I can.
